We are
offering a whole new range of Training Seminars this year! Kauri Computer Company has a great resource
in its Training Centre at the ‘Old Medical Centre’ behind
We aim to
offer clients high quality training services. These can be a customised program
to suit the needs of the individual

Program. Kid’s Programs
We have a
well equipped training centre with seven student computers all running Windows
XP, a Presenter’s computer which is connected to a data projector. This enables
participants to easily follow direction from the Tutor. All computers are
installed with the latest software! High speed Internet is available throughout
our centre.
The computers can be configured to meet client
needs. Many other Training Providers rent our facilities! Our training facility
is available for short or long term hire. We run special training for ACC and
WINZ clients! Contact
us for more information and pricing.
One of
the main things we would like to put in place is a standard of competency in
computer literacy that will show to us and future employers or Trainers that
the student has completed a series of computer skills. A problem that we have
encountered is that students may want to learn how to make a web-page but lack
basic Windows skills! Our Proposed
Progression.
The
courses we run particularly for Advanced Users will require Students to have
sufficient computer skills to participate. We would like to offer clients
quality training that would enable the Student to sit optional exams that would
qualify for IC3, CompTIA, or A+ Certified
exams!
We will
be announcing or course schedule NEXT WEEK!

After
much experience with the common problems from Business Owners, we have come up

Who is
CompTIA
CompTIA
is an international association, representing more than 8,000 individual
members and computing and communications companies. It was founded in 1982 to
promote standards of excellence in computer technology. Its goals are to
develop ethical, professional, and business standards and provide
vendor-neutral and up-to-date certification standards in the IT industry.
Certification tracks developed by CompTIA are industry-wide and internationally
recognised certifications.
Why CompTIA
Certification?
Most companies prefer their IT employees to have industry certification
in their specific fields of employment. This certification carries a proven
level of professionalism and competency that is highly recognised throughout the
IT industry. Certification will give you an international passport to mobility
between jobs.
What
is A+ Certification?
The A+ Certification is a CompTIA-sponsored qualification that certifies
the competency of entry-level service technicians in the IT industry.
A+ is backed by major organisations such as distributors, resellers,
publishers, and hardware and software vendors. Achieving the A+ certification
is proof that you possess the knowledge, technical skills and customer service
skills essential for a competent entry-level computer service technician, as
defined by experts from companies across the industry. A+ is the best-known and
recognised computer service technician qualification in the world.
The A+ exam consists of the "Core Hardware" exam and the
"Operating Systems Technologies" exam. Both exams are multi-choice
tests and can be sat online.
